Album Support

Beto Bob is currently in the process of creating and recording his first EP, which is inspired by the likes of Pink Floyd, Coldplay, Eric Clapton, Mark Knofler, BB King and Dream Theatre.

After 30 years of recording bits and pieces between doing live shows and running backwards and forwards to different studios over Spain, the UK and Uruguay, he finally has enough material to make a few studio albums. After many concerts and experiences in Europe, South America, Russia and the UK, plus numerous discussions with trials and errors, he finally put some ideas to the table with his producer, Kjetil Ove Grimstad, in Studio Barxeta.

During lockdown in Spain with the unwanted spare time that he had, he was able to discover new ideas and melodies, inspiring him to finally get out and find the right studio to record in. A few months later, an events organiser and businessman, Anders Viste, encouraged Beto Bob to visit Finca Abogat, where he could have potential concerts for his band.

A Norwegian friend, Henrik C. Holm, invited him to participate in his up and coming debut studio album with Zipcode 5000. In doing so, he found Studio Barxeta, where he spent most of the end of 2020 and the beginning of 2021 recording for this band and for Beto Bob’s own music.

A great deal of production and recording went in at this time with drummer, Trevor Murrell, who has been playing with Beto Bob for more than 15 years. Over the past years, his partner and keyboard player, Lesley-Anne Goode (L-A), has insisted that he records mainly because she saw his capability of how easily he can compose music. She was determined to bring him to the city in which she grew up, to introduce him to the wonders of Liverpool. This is where he met the Cavern Club resident musician, Jay Murray, who ended up inviting Beto Bob to record on one of his upcoming singles at the time. In this recording session, he met Mark Sebastian Lacey, who invited him to play in The Cavern Pub his original music. Mark then introduced him to Ian Prowse, another fellow singer-songwriter.

After taking part in writer’s night, he was pleased to share the stage with these wonderful musicians. Prowse then invited Beto Bob to go back always when he is in town. He could never have imagined he would be able to play his own original music in one of the world’s most famous venues.

All of these individuals helped in motivating Beto Bob to record a studio album and develop his career with original music. In doing so, he then created Bob Floyd, a David Gilmour (Pink Floyd) live experience. He now tours in Europe and the UK and includes some of his originals, as his fans (or family as he says!) demands and supports by donating to help the production of the recording process.

Beto Bob’s debut single release will be on 09.02.22 over digital platforms and is very grateful that he has been invited to the Sound Music Awards in Liverpool. It’s his dream to be able to be nominated next year when his music has finally been mixed and mastered.

Great performer as Floyd, Coldplay or as a great time party with his Mrs. Without doubt a must see artist and once you’ve seen Bob you will be looking forward to the next time you see him.

Bob is a world class guitarist and musician fronting a great band of musicians who I have been following for almost 5 years. It’s been a pleasure all the way and they deserve all the success they have achieved by their hard work and dedication to the music.
